Care to evaluate my idea?

I wrote up a quick idea in the sandbox, and wanted some responses and feedback.

Feel free to comment on the wording, but remember that this is nowhere from final and has not been edited very well, so try not to scrutinize my grammar and spelling too hard.

First impression, this is that crossed with SCP-022 and those Saw movies.

This effect is not fully understood, but it is theorized that only mausoleums in or near which a victim of the previous instance of SCP-XXX will become SCP-XXX.

I'm certain that that sentence doesn't work grammatically.
Maybe you can go with something like:
The effect is not fully understood, but it is theorized that only mausoleums near the burial site of previous victims will become the new incarnation of SCP-XXX. This effect will also occur if no new victim has entered SCP-XXX for a period of ██ days.

Obviously I'm just throwing that last sentence out there, but do as you will!

Also, hit me back, I just finished an SCP to go with my audio file…
