Yes. Awesome.
Couple of things. First off, "uncontainable" always sends up a red flag for me. Secondly, define "lost". You never specify the extend of how "lost" things become, whether that means "takes fifteen minutes to find them" or "removed from this plane of existance."
1) I think I'll change the phrasing of that sentence
2) I'll add a note of clarification
You cannot move him to any facility, and I'm not sure the foundation wants to build a facility on top of him while he's walking around.
Why not build a facility on top of him? He stops moving, they strap him to a wall, or pour concrete over him, bam, he's stuck in one place.
Admin, SCP Wiki
Well, I'll make an addendum about that, if you wish, but be assured that… something will stop the facility from being built.
Incident 920-03: SCP-920 was restrained and a prefab structure was airlifted in to contain it. The pilot was unable to locate the site of SCP-920. After being restrained for seven hours, SCP-920 [DATA EXPUNGED]. All personnel were successfully airlifted back to Sector 82.
How about this:
On ██/██/██ SCP-920 was restrained by foundation personel and Site ██ was established at his location to contain him. However within ██ hours it became clear that personnel could not locate Site ██. After ██ days site ██ was abandoned due to critical supply issues.
Oh, that's pretty nice. I think I just may replace my incident report with that.
I like the note about MTF Iota-4. Upvoted.
Just a question: how many Little Misters will we end up with? Because I think they'd take up quite some space on the list
Well by the list we'll only have 20, or 19 rather as Redd is discontinued. I highly doubt the list will ever be completed though, I just made this one because we were brainstorming about it in the chat. And, of course, there's always the possibility that somebody just makes one that's not on the list. Really, there's no way to tell.
I've said before, I'd rather most of the Misters not be written. Having a majority undone leaves room for minds to wander (like with the Mr Life and Mr Death two-pack.). Besides, I'd rather not make this a huge hunk of the list. Just seems like wanks.
And i do kinda agree with the others. Perhaps we keep an eye on him via satellite imagery? If we can't capture him, we can at least watch him. Uncontainable is a bad word around here. I'm all for him being a wandering dude, but… yeah.
Satellite imagery might work… I'll add that in.
I like it… I'll also vote to change "cannot be contained". That's a little too defeatist for the Foundation I think. Otherwise it's very, very well written!
"SCP-920 was discovered at Entrance [EXPUNGED] of Site-██." So did someone just walk outside Site-██ for a smoke one day and discover this crowd of Little Misters? Did this occur on a dozen separate instances, with one Little Mister each?
Just to clarify 100%… personnel are -found- at some point after contacting SCP-920, right?
and of course, upvoted
Personally, I automatically downvote if I see "cannot be contained". That's a phrase that speaks volumes more about laziness on the part of the author than lack of capability on the part of the Foundation.
This may just be sleep deprivation talking, but did anyone think of building a maze or labyrinth as a facility to contain him in? It may have been that the first facility was too simple, he could not be 'lost' inside it so the whole site became 'lost' with him. But if he's 'in the maze' he would still be 'lost in the maze' while the maze itself could be 'not-lost.'
There are several problems with that:
How are they gonna get him in the maze? Will they just build it in some random spot and hope that Mr. lost will eventually wander into it against 1:20,000 odds or so? Making a maze that can be transported by air and is big enough to trap Mr. Lost indefinitely would take waaay too much manpower and money that would not outweigh the benefit of having contained a pretty harmless SCP.
Addendum 920-4: On ██/██/██ SCP-920 was restrained by Foundation personnel and Site-██ was established at his location to contain him. However, within ██ hours it became clear that personnel could not locate Site-██. After ██ days Site-██ was abandoned due to critical supply issues.
MY EYES
if your reading this your gay
It could do with a little less blacking out. The day is fine, but Site-XYZ had no other purpose, so there's not much point hiding its name. Hell, you could possibly even do without naming it at all, given as it quite possibly no longer exists.
I do understand the expungement of how long it lasted however: that's sensitive information, useful to the enemy in a siege situation.
This is somewhat intriguing. How do you contain something like this? Hmmm… how do double-blinds work with him?
