That is a creepy noise if I ever heard one.
But we will not let it go.
Let him go!
Sorry, could not help myself…
I like it how for D-3456, passing through that SCP-860-1 was VERY creepy (just what has chased him?), but for D-5674 it was quite different, apparently changing her personality (plus, it seems she spent many years inside SCP-860-1).
Oh hey, it DOES soundlike Galileo…
That noise is creepy. How in the world did he manage to create such a noise?
Sounds like a mixture to me - I hear elephant, donkey and at least one other thing. That's just my guess as a casual biology nerd.
…The strange thing is this ALMOST fits into an SCP and other enormous project I've been working on.
This project includes tribes of forest/jungle dwellers called the Slartisfgh. They are vaguely mammalian, but hard to classify properly, but they have two interesting properties: First of all, they show a deep personal interest in things. If you're feeling down, a Slartisfgh will be your best friend. The language difficulties might prove a problem, but it suggests some vaguely empathic traits. The other property is irrelevant to this. Only issue is that the Slartisfgh are nonviolent and don't make noises like that.
I believe that this page, along with Document 860-III and IV, should be tagged audio. I've read the tag guide on 05command, and they both fit the criterion of having attached audio files.
Sorry for having to make a forum post about this. Can't send PM to Crayne because internet is stupidly broken on this side, failing to load anything on the main wikidot site. (including wiki text quick reference)
Thank you for pointing out the missing tags on this and all previous pages. I would even say to go ahead and tag the article yourself if you're it's certain your correct, like in this case.
There is a section in this that states that the D-class personnel retained paranoia for a period of weeks ranging in the two digit numbers. I'd like to point out the flaw in that. D-class personnel are terminated monthly, meaning that the paranoia retained could not have been longer than 4 weeks until termination, let alone a two digit number, regardless of the fact that the D class was a demoted foundation personnel.
Uh… no.
D-Class monthly termination is generally regarded as being a long-forgotten relic of the site's early history, and even if you think it's canon, the "there is no canon" rule applies.
The standard argument for personnel waste aside, if that's your canon, go ahead, but don't assume that you can impose it upon all SCPs you see.
Also, even if you do subscribe to the headcanon that monthly termination means D-class are (or were at some point in the past) killed, there are frequent mentions of termination being postponed for research purposes.
Understood. Didn't realize the monthly termination thing was no longer applicable. Still see a lot of it, albeit in older posts.
