Absolutely maddening. I love it.
im sticking with the idea of the discs writing themselves as they go.
Nah; that's from C. S. Lewis — The Narnia books; specifically, The Magician's Nephew.
Synopsis:
The two children find themselves in a seemingly dead world, in a hall with statues of people.. And a bell with that inscription, which, as it turns out, when rung, frees the final queen of the world from her self-imposed suspension.
I'd like to know what would happen if you played a disc on a computer or DVD player purposely set to an incorrect time. Removing any clocks, watches, and other timekeeping devices from the room may also be a sensible precaution. Just a thought.
Really love this SCP. One thing I'd like to see in this document is what 315-1 thinks of his existence compared to a normal life.
This reminds me very much of the episode of Doctor Who that introduces the Weeping Angels. The Doctor uses transcripts that someone viewing the videos made in the past. Really good test log, really good SCP.
Wow this messes around with time in a big way! While the man will effectively "die" if all the discs are watched it appears that he is for all intents and purposes, otherwise immortal. I would love to have a chat with this SCP.
