Yes, it's cubical, I know. Maybe I can change it to a dodecahedron or something. Other than that, what do you think?

And no, this wasn't written with the Church of the Broken God in mind. But if it fits them, why not?

The shape of the thing doesn't seem bad but I can't shake the feeling that this thing needs a lot more. We have had/still have lots of clockwork bio brain computer things, in addition to things that mess with memories and thoughts so … there's no hook here to catch me, I'm afraid.

The images this provokes, rusty metal and exposed organs, these are popular themes around here. If you can employ those to more interesting effect I think you'd have something.
