Not a bad idea, but a few clear issues:
It seems kind of simple. Your description could be "it makes you want it". Try adding some complexity.
Why does it need to be moved? Why not encase it in concrete and bury it?
Terminating anyone the instant they show interest in it seems extreme, even by foundation standards. Try knocking it back to "will be given a mind wipe and relocated to another facility" or something.
The warning at the top, while cool, seems superfluous. Most SCP's are not fully understood.
Maybe I missed something, but if knowledge of the object causes the person to stop caring about everything else, then how did the report get written?
Still, a cool idea if you can rework it some.
