Something I knocked up last night - inspiration obvious :)

Not a clever idea I know, nor particularly exciting - but struck me as amusing to imagine what would happen in the Foundation universe. If nothing else some good practice.

The negative aspect I felt was necessary to prevent this thing being far to useful/powerful to the Foundation.

Also may add a test log which explores various conditions, as i've worked some out.

I deliberately modified the details to make it less "cheesy" - but not sure if would be stronger if I made it match real life?

it selects one of two boxes containing food. there is quite a lot of media coverage of Pauli the octopus atm.

I take it you disapprove then :).
As I said it is obvious and not clever, but I can't see endless headlines about psychic molluscs and not imagine if was a real scp.
Although yeah the central idea is kinda crap (like most of real life), although I'm quite happy with the execution.

It is definitely an amusing concept, but I'm not really sure it is legitimate SCP worthy. Maybe have fewer █'s and more humor and it could be a good joke SCP.

yeah i was thinking io should put a -j on this.
I'm worried it's too cheesy to be a mainline SCP, but also feel we're neglecting our duty if we don't have our own paul the octopus…
Any ideas for comedy potential welcome - although I guess the whole probability warping allows for no end of amusingly fatal slapstick.

What bright said. Joke SCPs require that there actually be a joke. If you want to make a bullshit pop culture reference, take it elsewhere. We do creative writing here.
