In essence, it's something that can make anything you read infect your imagination. You begin to imagine what the footsteps of the thing would sound like, you imagine it's face, and then it shows up and kills you.

Bad idea? Shoot it down with prejudice. If it's bad but salvageable, tell me how. If it's ok but needs work, also tell me how. Thanks.

First, "Evil Book" is not an appropriate term for an evil text that's only 2 pages long.

Second, it's a pretty good idea, I think. Anyone who reads it suffers a fairly standard horror-story fate; all well and good, but there are several questions that are not answered.
1. What's this nonsense about D-class people being required to read it? Will it break out of containment and kill everyone if it's not fed regularly?
2. The article suggests that your creature can move from text to text. How does it do this?
3. Why can there only be one copy of the article on this SCP? Is this related to #2?
4. Why is it Keter? Without the hinted-at incident report, I'd have stuck this creature squarely in the "Euclid" pile… maybe even "Safe" if all you have to do to contain it is make sure that no one reads a scary story within a certain area.

^^ And in response to that, I did put something, but it was pretty badly worded and easily missed. 1 and 3 are answered by saying "yes," to number 2. Um, and I might as well write up that incident report.

Well, I added that incident report. That's why I made it Keter, but I was hesitant in making an incident report. Still, if you think it should be Euclid, say so.

Well, considering that the entirety of chat told me is was the book what make you go crazy, I just need Yoric or somebody to say it's a bad idea, and then it's going down.

Seems okay. There are a few formatty issues here and there ("new SCP-_-1's" should be "new copies of SCP-_-1") but it's not offensively bad.

Do you guys use the term "launch" around here?

EDIT: It's not supposed to be a "copy." If it was a copy, there would be no punishment for pissing it off. If you destroy it, you have to individually test every single horror short story, horror novel, and SCP report within the vicinity of it to see if it's SCP-XXX-1.

"instances of" then. my point was that "SCP-XXX is a designation, not a proper noun. A thing contained by the Foundation is an SCP object, not an SCP. You should not say in an article "new SCP-XXX's". It just doesn't sound right, tone wise.

Remember, "SCP" functions as a descriptor, usually an adjective. Ugly baby, Calico cat, SCP object.
