No sense in beating around the bush; here's my first attempt at an SCP. (The SCP number is random.) I call them "Ferrous Ants".
Any criticism or advice is appreciated.

So, instead of carpenter ants, we've got… "Metalworker Ants?"

I think the most important question to ask here is "Why is this an SCP, and not just an abnormal animal?" You're not including the information that would actually make the difference between a dangerous but natural creature and a supernatural threat.

Ah, I think that he did; he mentioned that they are most likely the result of genetic manipulation.
Also, if they are able to tear through metal fast enough that they made a recently-built edifice crumble to the point that it has to be demolished, I'd say the can be quite a threat if left unchecked. Not completely sure if the Foundation would take interest, though… seems like something a pest control agency could potentially fight back, if they figured out what pesticides worked against them.
