Advice on my first SCP

Hey dudes. I've had this idea kicking around in my brainpan for a few weeks and finally found some quiet time at work to type it up.

Basically, it's a Protazoan Parasite, based quite heavily on Toxoplasma gondii, only instead of loving cats and making humans happier about living in filth, it loves sharks and makes humans wander into the ocean and bleed from every orifice.

I'm hoping to flesh it out with a few tests on D-Classes, seeing what they do when confined to a cell with ocean air pumped in, various reactions to fresh water, being told that if they enter the water they will die and dealing with what equates to addiction, maybe trying it on D-Classes with narcotics convictions etc

What do you think?

Really, the only word that comes to my mind is "okay." If you're okay with "okay," then… Okay, I guess.

The testing you describe doesn't sound like it'll add anything to it; just information that should be in the file proper, but with more words.

It doesn't sound all that odd, even given the psychological effects. And why bother with the risk of keeping live carriers?

I liked the idea because apart from the bleeding on contact with salt water part, it's actually possible in the real world. If you've read about protazoan parasites, some of them make animals act just a little bit odd in order for the parasite to get the job done. There are parasites that make grasshoppers leap into the water and drown.

Toxoplasma gondii is believed to make people not care so much about personal an habitual hygiene. Since the parasite is transmitted in cat feces, this helps the parasite.

And I guess keeping them alive is for study? Like almost every other SCP?

1) Well that's just the problem, it's too normal. How is it the Foundation's problem?

2) To study what? They know what it does now. All they'd be doing at this point is giving it more chance to mutate into something harder to contain.
