Alright, so this is an idea that's been in the back of my mind ever since I wrote All Hallows, that got back-burnered in favor of finishing off the Anderson Robotics arc. There are only so many action tales that I can write before I get a little burnt out on things exploding and guns firing, so it was a good change of pace and allowed me to write about the Merlo family once more. It's a little sappy, sure, but considering how several other Foundation families tend to be train wrecks with respect to one another, one that is relatively well adjusted was something I found refreshing.

In case you were wondering, this takes place about 8 years after the events of the The Blackbird and The Falcon, in the far off and distant year of 2032. The lyrics at the start of the scene with Researcher Conwell are from the song "Never Listen To Me" by The Thermals.
