1. The Little Laissez-faire

It's an old cash register that can imbue any item put into it with a sense of worth, positive or negative. It has ten levers, each with different effects, that can change economic trends for certain items.

Oh man, global economic [redacted] tickled me. I think you've got a good one here. I'd suggest replacing the list of lever effects with a test log. It'd just be more interesting and it would allow the reader to draw their own conclusions. Also - the object has to be placed into the tray of the register?

Yes. If the tray can't close, it won't work. I'll update it when I get home. Also, how does the whole "SCP approval thing" work? I'm still a bit fuzzy about that.

You post it, then people vote on it. If you get mostly upvotes, it stays. If you get enough negatives, the admins will eventually delete it.

I think you've got a nice idea here. It does seem ridiculously powerful, but I'm not sure if that's good or bad in this case.

I somehow doubt that the Foundation would use such random items to test an unknown SCP, and especially not the same item repeatedly (at least until they've determined the properties of the individual levers). Also, are the levers no longer labeled clearly? If so, that should be noted in the description, and if any do still bear readable labels, that too should be noted.

Nitpick: Tin doesn't rust. Personally I'd describe the cash register's surface as "worn" rather than "rusted".

The use of bizarre or even meaningless imagery acts as an intensifier for cursing.

On its own, poop is worth perhaps fifty-seven millishits (though greater than poo, which is worth only five). However, by adding "on a shingle" it amplifies the power of the curse up to seventeen centishits. The same applies to stronger swears. Shit on a shingle, for example, is worth almost half a fuck.
