Something like this is going to face a lot of resistance as being too useful, and I can't say that this one doesn't deserve it so far. The part that I found mildly interesting was the superhero deconstruction bit, but of course that's been done plenty of times before so I don't think it's enough to save the article. If you're going to continue with it, maybe work on the backstory a bit and see what that suggests about how you could spice up the artifact?
Point of nitpicking: what is a nuclear fuel cell? A fuel cell generates power by harnessing redox chemistry, a nuclear reactor fuses or splits atomic nuclei. Unless it's a particular term of art I'm just not familiar with.
The way I look at it, it's not that useful. It lacks proper protection to the face and hands, it's very handmade (maybe even suffering beta software problems?) and as the inventor is now dead, the manufacture of another one is near-impossible.
Still, if you can suggest ways to improve it, please let me know!
As for the nuclear fuel cell, that is placeholding technobabble. Should I change it to micropile, microreactor or simply 'powersource'?
You're right, my phrasing was imprecise. The power armor suit works ok as a curiosity, but it doesn't have much that is original in it. Articles that survive for a long time tend to have a real hook; either the concept is blindingly original, or the article is extremely creepy (or otherwise grabbing) or something. The armor seems to tread over old ground without really innovating. It's well written and not at all a bad article, but I do think that it needs something unexpected to grab my attention.
Go with the power source angle. Scrap the superhero physicist part and the story about the inventor dying. Don't even explain how we found this thing. Just create this goofy, impractical suit of damaged "power armor" that looks like it was made by some teenagers in a garage.
But yet the entire ridiculous contraption is powered by some sort of impossible nuclear engine that is completely beyond current technology. And it is housed in this piece of junk… perhaps in such a way as to be impossible to extract or use in any constructive manner. Maybe all the containment issues are about keeping the engine from going critical. Something that implies that this silly garage-scale science experiment came from somewhere where such an amazing and dangerous power source is so common place that one could get tossed into this silly suit.
I think that'd be an interesting angle. And by not explaining where the suit came from, readers would be left to come up with all sorts of bizarre explanations in their heads.
"Tony Stark was able to build this in his parents' garage with a box of scraps!"
