This is the story of a girl how I envision gcmp4 got their start: reverse-engineering anomalous computer bullshit and turning a file format that produces arms into a file format that produces usable, well-preserved blood for use in hospitals. After joining the group, they got their name scrubbed from the records by Mr. Serial Killer prior to its capture by the Foundation, covering their tracks and keeping them out of the hands of the Foundation for a little while at least.
Out of universe, the idea of a Dropbox parody called "Hugbox" has stuck in my head for a few months now, ever since I pitched a filesharing service that instead used cute dogs as their means of sharing files. I came up with a different idea for what the service actually involved, then wondered what would happen if someone reverse-engineered it. I needed a comp. sci. nerd and seeing as I a) wanted to write for a group typically outside my writing comfort zone and b) had a chance to expand on a character with relatively little known about their backstory, I jumped at the chance to use gaycopmp4 and I'm glad to see the creator(s) seem to pretty happy with their use here.
Shame I missed out on the WHO's World Blood Donor Day by a few days (14th June, by the way), but it is what it is.

Neat.
Its simple and creepy in a very Series I sense, with some wonderful imagery at play. The link at the end seems a little tacked on to me, but eh, no deal breaker there.
+1.
While I adore this, I can't in good conscious upvote a GAW skip. Also agreeing with Conwell that the link at the end is tacked on, and doesn't really seem to add much to this.
Whilst still valid, it seems rather petty to not upvote a good scip simply due to it containing a specific GOI, regardless of how and where it uses said GOI.

Have you tried upvoting it while unconscious?
if your reading this your gay
You can upvote something about a GOI you don't like if it's well made enough.
pastarasta1 is quick-talking and often scheming
In fact, if something made you like it in spite of something clashing violently with your headcanon, that's a very good reason to upvote it.
I've upvoted a number of future-dated scips and "canon-exclusive" scips, for instance, and both break my immersion badly.
if you upvote this one people will know the good gaw articles from the bad
I think this feels underdeveloped, the idea is very unique and the way the effect manifests is viscerally described, but I wish the addenda was expanded upon more so we might see more examples of this application at work, or possibly one or two more files. Maybe do it in the form of a test log instead of an addenda. I don't think this needs to be super complicated or long but this execution feels closer to the most basic way to communicate the idea than a concise description.
Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you!
Added some more things to hopefully address Roget's concerns and giving a better sense of the progression to the development of gaycopmp4 and her ability. Also, I guess this might be a partial story for Mr. Doggo, if you're into that sort of thing, or you can just take it as a silly "test run" for her efforts to exploit a file sharing service that 3D-prints blood and bone. /shrug
It feels a lot more complete now. I like it. I think you could also stand to add a tad more to the containment procedures to account for some of the new content additions and such but at this point that's just nitpicking.

I have failed to understand this.
Do these limbs hurt you?
Can I request a hug from a 6'8" female?
Is there any real danger from this?
Sorry I didn't get it.
Humanity has survived on two things:
1. Camaraderie.
2. Learning from our mistakes.
Do these limbs hurt you?
Based off the article, they're just fake arms that are attracted to the person who opened the file, so, no, they don't.
Can I request a hug from a 6'8" female?
Yes(?).
Is there any real danger from this?
Not much, no. No more dangerous than any other fake arm made out of plastic. If anything, they're more of a nusiance than an actual threat. The only threat this has is towards the preservation of normalcy (at least from what I can tell).
