As always, ideas/critique/comments/free drinks are more than welcome. I like this one, but I don't think I've quite got it dead on yet.
Honestly, the picture bothers me. You're trying to hide in the report the brand of cola, but the picture shows Coke bottles as clear as anything. Either say they're Coke bottles, or use a picture that doesn't have identifying marks.
BTW, the shape of the bottles themselves are trademarked. <g>
They're actually trademarked? As my old computing teacher used to say: "Well bugger".
I'll go fix that now then :)
EDIT - fix'd the article, thanks for the heads up on that.
I like it, but is there really anything special about the crate that makes it the SCP rather than the liquid? Designating the liquid SCP-207-1 and the bottles SCP-207-A through -X just seems a bit more convoluted than it needs to be.
Just another quick one. If no subject have lasted more than 48 hours, how was the original owner able to do all the stuff that drew attention to him? Is this a deliberate vagueness (if so fine) or is there a reason?
When I read it I thought along the lines of: drinking a full bottle allows you to stay 'enhanced' for longer, but leads to a much nastier [DATA EXPUNGED] at the end. That's just my thought, though.
Me fixey.
Seriously, the next person to use "it's" for "its" will be SHOT.
Hadn't slept for just shy of a full 24 hours when I finally got round to finishing it, I was expecting errors! Had to go through it again before I posted it, SCP-207 went from 207 to 720 to 702 and back to 207 in the space of a single paragraph at one point. Should stop writing when I'm wired as hell :)
I'm happy to see it's got a good reception, all that advice and rewriting of 325 has certainly rubbed off.
I don't mean to be a jerk, but the first thing i think of when i see this is "Bonk Energy Drink" followed by a New Jersey guy saying "I'm a freakin' blur here!"
I agree with the previous poster who thinks the fluid should be SCP-207, it makes much more sense. Not a bad idea, but there are other odd incongruities that are distracting.
and all personnel entering the area should be checked for any food or drink items, in addition to any other searches required.
All vending machines in Site-██ are to only dispense clear carbonated beverages; any variation from transparent is to be investigated immediately.
It makes it sound like SCP-207 can contaminate other drinks by proximity. If the purpose is to keep people from drinking it, just lock it up in something sturdier than a metal box. The fact that it is invariably fatal in 48 hours or less is a strong deterrent by itself.
