I really must thank you for this. See, I have this paper that I gotta write, a nasty little 4-5 page thing, and I was worried I was going to fall asleep halfway through.
Thanks to this little guy, that's not a problem any more.

And it saves my grades as well. Thanks, SCP Foundation!
I'm very scare this object in game LOL that can appear anywhere if you stay too long.
SCP-106 can containment breach in cell. That make me happy.
Dr.Flear
Yeah that is a thing i like too. SCP-106 is unpredictable which ist perfect for this kind of game.
Congratulations to the winners of the SCP-106 Photography Contest held on r/scp!
The first image "106 Emergence", the second image "106 Door" and third image "106 Victim" were all won by Cinemamind, and each is released under CC-BY-SA 3.0.
I'd like to thank everyone who contributed, community members who voted in the subreddit and shared their thoughts, and also apologize for how long the process ended up taking!
Update: "Emergence" has received an update, courtesy of djkaktus to address concerns over the smile/realism.
"Victim" has also received the kaktus treatment to improve realism.
The New New Emergence image is by Klay Abele, aka MrKlay, Licensed CC by SA 3.0.
Just try not to think of it on your ceiling…
…waiting…
…staring…
Honestly, this is a tune-up SCP for me. been out of it for a bit, but I hope to knock the dust off and show some of the new folks (and hell, old folks) that I still have the knack. Err…I hope…
Glad it unsettled at least one person…
Not too fond of the third picture there, it's fairly obvious that it's a fake, but other than that it's excellent.
I may end up replacing that one, I was debating it. If it bugs anyone else, I'll cycle it.
ye it is kinda creepy
edit: whoops sorry i didn't know how old this post was
Please don't respond to 4 year old posts made by users who aren't around.
DrTobias, please note that your post is a case of necro-posting. Necro-posting is frowned upon as it builds up unnecessary spam on the forum, and usually does not offer meaningful contribution to the argument.
In this particular case, your query for reason does not aid in the topic re: the images used on this article. As your post is to response to the rationale behind not necro-posting, I believe I have stated the rationale in the paragraph above.
I like it very much. One problem, though. It seems that since 106 can pass through all solid material, the containment procedures are pretty much just "Leave it in a cell in a bigger cell and hope it doesn't get out that often." I surmise that you were trying to accentuate the uncertainty and danger associated with this containment, but you'd think the good people at the Foundation would be able to come up with something a little more functional.
here's the issue: how precisely do you contain something without using any solid matter? it stays quiet for long stretches of time, so the most simple way to keep it sealed is to watch it, and lure it back if and when it breaks free…
I was actually racking my brain on this SCP's containment all night because I've been trying to come up with a story concerning this guy and 945 (as they both have a different means of walking through walls)
How would he handle liquid matter? Would getting blasted with fire hoses be a deterrent at all?
Actually, started thinking about that as well. If you see, the current SCP is one of rather many revisions. I think i may tack on a "previous SCP" page, and show why some of these are less then steller ideas…like, perhaps that black mucus spreads in to the water, and suddenly you have it sloshing all over…
Or maybe I'll add fire hoses to the containment…one of the two…
Is the light a weakness to him or not? The current revision just says that 80,000 lumens must flood the area of containment, but it doesn't say how it directly affects SCP-106.
EDIT: Saw this, "SCP-106 has also shown an aversion to direct, sudden light."
Gears, you son of a bitch.
I'm just clicking around the recently added page, wanting to see some of the new creativity,
And the first image on the page permenantly burns itself into my psyche as the thing who's presence I feel when I watch old newsreel footage of Huey Long smiling.
You've evidently still got it, I doubt many people who read this will be able to sleep very well afterwards…
I sleep soundly, even when I'm not sure I want to do so. <chuckle> But this is a creepy one, Gears. Nice.
I have to say, I really dislike that first image. I find it hard to take a SCP seriously that looks like a guy in a bad gorilla suit
After seeing the first image and reading the containment procedures, but before reading the description, I thought it was going to be Satan.
Jus' sayin'.
Edit: How would he handle magnetism? That is, having the primary cell magnetically held in the center of the secondary? Though, I suppose he could just phase out of the bottom of the primary and drop down, then phase again.
Thing is actually pretty close to Satan. It seems to hate all humans, and its pocket dimension is sort of like Hell.
EDIT: Sorry about the necropost.
