Image source is from Shaun Tan's website. Usage is non-commercial and non-profit, as far as I can tell.

New image is from wikimedia commons by Rob Waddington. I think this one's OK?

I'm not image enforcement or anything, but as far as I can tell The Rabbits is under traditional copyright.

If you mean by your usage here, no it is not. The site is CC-BY-SA, and the Fair Use paradigm only applies if you are using an image to refer expressly to that image or its associated work, such as in a wikipedia article or a review.

Follow up question: I actually own a framed copy of the print. If I were to take a picture of that and use it in the article, would that also violate copyright since it's also technically a picture of the work in question?

Although if you take a picture of something else, say your cat, or your room, and the print is incidentally in the frame, you would own the copyright of that image.

This isn't doing it for me. After the base description, nothing noteworthy happens that drew me further into the narrative. The anomaly, as expected, grows and grows, but the narrative stops dead in its tracks as it does so. This uses the endnote trope in a typical manner that's been done to death.

Agreeing with the above - this is a fairly enervating version of the "exponential growth" trope that is prevalent on the site in various forms. It also misses an opportunity to explore the most interesting part of the anomaly - these things are able to cooperate on highly complex tasks without any obvious form of communication. However the article merely glosses over that with the inaccurate statement that the instances "lack any sort of culture".

General unease, I guess. I suppose test logs would be a good way to exemplify what kinds of tasks the boys overcome, but after thinking about it I'm not sure if that would be a good fit in the article.

I'll make some edits later today, so let me know what you think the article needs.

To be honest, I think this needs more than a few edits here and there - it needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

If you're going for general unease, what should be causing the unease? The uncanny valley humanoids? The lack of explanation of why they do what they do? The fact that they could expand and cover the whole world?

If this is based on The Rabbits, is the unease you're looking for the unease of looking at a potential colonisation attempt?

The note leaves me wondering. Though honestly, the sense I get from this is some kind of cosmic game of Settlers of Catan or something, with these little dudes the meeples or whatever they call things nowadays.

SCP-3800 was initially discovered on 2/3/11 following a 112 call from Useless Loop, Western Australia with reports of "strange men building houses in the middle of the road".

The emergency number in Australia is 000. Apparently 112 will work from mobile phones, but I don't know any Australian that would use 112.

As an Australian, can concur. No one is going to call anything but 000 first, and if a strange guy was building a house in the middle of the road, I think an Aussie would place a regular call to the local police station rather than the emergency.

Listen, strange men building houses in the middle of the road is no basis for a system of culture. Supreme societal cohesion derives from interpersonal communication, not some farcical mid-boulevard construction site.

That being said, I'm not sure I'm getting the connection between the note at the end and the rest, beyond the cities being extensive. That seems to (maybe?) be an actual civilization, with sailing capabilities and the ability to brainwash/coerce the sailors into joining them in going…somewhere?

I like this but I go no vote. The anomaly is weird for sure, and the article does make me wonder and imagine. What attracts me most is the note's indicating that the anomaly had gone wild for multiple times, which means there are histories and stories to be told. However, these creatures seem too dummy. I hope they can imply and lure the readers with something more.
