It's a fairly common practice to mention or refer to nonexistent documents, to enhance the realism feel. Because in-universe, there would probably be one, but it doesn't add anything for the author to actually write one and add it in here.
My personal Opionion Would Be That We Just make Up What’s We Like. For Example There’s This Youtuber Who is A Secret 05 I mean SCP Reader Who Illustrated Different SCPs. All The Files That’s Are Originally Data Redacted Are Actually His Own Interpretations Of Things Like SCP-610-L6 Was Actually A Pretty a good Interpretation. Or The SCP-096 Dr Oleskei Interview, Shocker.

What do you mean? Are you serious or are you joking around Snipes88? This is confusing me as I see multiple things that indicate it IS anomalous, but I am afraid I have never been to an IKEA store…so am I missing something?
It's a big joke about how IKEA's are really large and big. Since this SCPs main focus is about getting lost in a maze like IKEA, that's why he is making that joke.

For those who have never been to an IKEA, here's how the store works:
The store invites you upstairs into a giant warehouse-sized showroom. Here, you are shown a meandering path that twists and turns its way through room idea after room idea of IKEA furniture. Bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, etc., all done in IKEA furniture. As you can imagine, it's easy to get lost in a space like this. About halfway through your trek, you come across a food court where you can stop, rest, and provision before continuing your odyssey through bookcases, coffee tables, and more. The Swedish meatballs are a perennial staple and very popular.
All in all, it's easy to lose an hour or two before you complete your journey and head back to the ground level, where you can finally choose the actual items you were looking for in a much more open warehouse area.
So, yes, becoming lost in a veritable sea of DIY furniture is the typical IKEA experience.

Never worked there. Just shopped there a couple times.
I had that idea for an SCP except with Costco. Costco is creepy. At least they wouldn't starve to death.

The store in Renton, WA, used to be one story, but was expanded about a year or so back. Other than that, even the single-story model has you wander through the entire store (although there are shortcuts, if you look for them).
The first one I ever visited was in Carson, CA - my wife and I refer to it as "the IKEA theme park". It starts with an escalator ride to the third floor…

Totally agree! I'm a big fan of what I call 'exploratory' SCP articles and stories, and I've been making a list of the best ones, like this one, for my own benefit but also because I've been tinkering with the idea of offering to make up a list of such articles on the 'User-Curated Lists' page, if there's enough interest.
Some random examples: SCP-093 "Red Sea Object", with the amazing journeys into the hellish world it provides access to; SCP-1689 "Bag Of Holding Potatoes", and the thrilling adventures in potato world; and SCP-2935 "O, Death".
I have about another 30 possible articles noted so far.
I know I'm necroposting here, but if anyone reading this has any suggestions or feedback, I'd love to hear it!
EDIT: Since posting this, I've found an awesome source of 'exploration' articles already compiled: choose Tales from the banner menu, then incident reports, then the explorations tab. There are currently 49 entries.

That journal was utterly nightmarish. Just last night, falling asleep, I was musing on the dream phenomenon of goes-on-forever interior spaces with no windows or exits. This morning brings me this. Beautifully timed, well done.
I loved the journal. And as said above, love the fact that people were actually nice.
However, I do think that the journal dealing with people who seem to be from other times (?) could've been explored more.
I would love to see an exploration log or more insight on thr towns inside. What we have is intriguing.

I had considered a couple of extra parts to this. Something like an MTF team that goes in there to explore it and is able to periodically contact the Foundation when an entrance appears within radio range. I ultimately decided against it because I couldn't think of a decent justification for sending them in there in the first place.
The other part was explorations with drones, which is hinted at a little in the journals.
Ultimately I felt that the journal was by far the strongest idea and didn't want to distract from it by adding other bits in. Maybe I'll do them as a tale or attached exploration document at some point.
Anyway, thanks for all the kind words, I'm glad its being received so well :D
I appreciate that you didn't shoehorn in an exploration mission. I find this engrossing as is. If you do end up making a tale for this, I think a first person tale would be great. As for the exploration document, it's as you've said. There's no reason for it.
Also, this is your second scip? Fracking excited to see what you release next.

I think you got it right with the current length; I was left wanting more, as opposed to feeling relief I'd finally got through it as with some longer skips. I'd certainly read a tale if it were posted - maybe a rescue mission sorta thing, where the drones show some Foundation peeps from one of the other realities? Ordinary people are, 'oh dear, what a shame' but trained personnel might be a different story…

Yes, an MTF exploration team will somewhat ruin the feeling of the whole article. But I think it might be reasonable to send some drones into searching. Still one of the best skips I've read even after 1 year of you posting it. Nicely done.
I think a justification would be the interdimensional travel possibilities. Using 3008 to get resources, D class or even some thing that would help kill something like 682.

Liked it when I cast an eye over it this afternoon, still like it now.It still has a few minor niggles with language and grammar, in my opinion, but certainly nothing which kills it as a good piece of work. I'll definitely be sharing this with several of my friends, henceforth known as the Staff Monsters!
