I like the historical approach, the first two tabs were an excellent setup, but the third blew it for me. I anticipated, and really did look forward to the Cousin Johnny connection, but the actions taken by the affected weren't enough to differentiate itself from that horror-wise. I probably could have overlooked that if it weren't for the ending.
SIGHTSEE is a cool concept, but I feel like the (in-universe) author's interpretations of its intentions and role came across as pure exposition. I think you could have led the reader around to the implication that it is the one true God more naturally. This aspect, moreso than the similarities to 2852, is what led to my downvote. I think that's an avenue of horror that's not being explored by, well, any of the other entries (to my knowledge), and would have done a great deal set this apart from the pack.
