Upvoted because it seems like the start of something good, plus it made me nostalgia.

I used to own a PC exactly like this (original Compaq, the thing was nuclear-proof), and only issue I have is that the image editor could probably get more creep from it, and that welding a mouse or keyboard plug (especially for a late 90's PC as it would be a PS/2 adaptor and therefore buckle under the heat) would destroy it. Soldering would work, and a full solder round would make removal an absolute bitch if the solder had some [REDACTED] in it.

But yeah, only that, otherwise I like it.

Do you, perchance, have a photo of your PC or a similar one floating around somewhere? This could use a picture, and Google Images is no help (probably because I'm short on appropriate search terms).

It was a Compaq Presario, but I can't remember the model number, sorry.

Really, you just want a picture of a normal beige tower that's a few years old, blank over any labels on it.

Agreed. What happens if I click and hold on a can of beer and then push ctrl+c, ctrl+v on the keyboard? Recommending relocation of SCP-713 containment to my office immediately.

Procedure: Word processing program is started. Cursor moved offscreen to left-click on surface of writing pad. The words "bush hid the facts" are entered using SCP-713's keyboard. File is saved to disk in .txt format. Word processing program is closed. File is reopened.

Having owned a PC exactly like this, I know it can run Worms 2. What happens if I overshoot the screen with the bazooka? :D

I'd love to see a test log concerning the Holy Hand Grenade, Super Banana Bomb or Priceless Ming Vase.

Much as I like it, some issues I have:

1. If you can just lock it in a box somewhere, not mess with it, and have nothing happen, then it should be Safe, not Euclid. Euclid means that if you lock something in a box and leave it alone, then there's no telling what will happen.

2. As it is, it seems too predictable and tidy. You perform a function, it does exactly as programmed every time. That's… not realistic for any Win95 system, much less one modified to SCP specifications. I'd expect more blue screens and general protection faults and illegal operations, with all the attendant consequences. (It would also make it more dangerous to use and could possibly earn it its Euclid class.)

3. The picture has speakers, which contradicts the description of having only mouse, keyboard, and monitor. There's also no mention of CD-Rom or floppy drives, but that's a minor point.

('Course, since it's about to hit double digits, the feedback may be moot anyway.)

1. Agreed. I was just about to ask about that. I'll hold off on fixing it til #2 has been satisfactorily dealt with, though.

2. Also agreed. (Win95 used to /bug/ me…) I'm not sure how to write that up, though. Addenda? Incident reports? It can be arranged, I'll just need to finesse it to a) not have it too tacked-on, and b) not say too much.

3. I'll try to Photoshop them out. Alternative pictures are also quite welcome — this one is just the product of a quick Google, and I'm not terribly attached to it.

So, does this machine have a floppy/CD drive? It says no ports for peripherals, so no way of connecting to a data storage device. What I'm wondering is, what if you loaded porn and dragged it off the desktop? My guess is just a floating photo/video, but you know someone would try.

Oh christ, never let this thing get near a LAN party. There's already been 4 PCs here meatspinned by being left unlocked (I'm at a LAN now, and was in no way connected with these incidents. ;p).
