I remembered the article on the clockwork virus mentioning samples in the hands of the russian government, and wondered whether they may have met the same fate as much of the motherland's arsenal at the end of the cold war. It turned out I may have been thinking of a different article, but it birthed the idea. What if a sample of 217 made it onto the black market?
Few groups would love to aquire a sample of SCP-217 more than the Church of the Broken God. I imagine they'd have some very inventive uses for it, too. One might consider it evangelism.
