"SCP-2726-A: as it turns out ghostland does not have prozac so. still sad. i'm working on it."
Was that a fucking "Terepy: The Movie" Reference
Goddamn it you can't appeal to my ancient homestuck meme knowledge it's just not fair. Now I have to upvote it! Shit!
it's definitely a terepy: the movie reference

I thought the description was kind of bland, but the social media ghost boy character grew on me throughout the interview. I think you could probably shorten the description since the addenda is the real sell of the article but it's not terrible as it stands. +1
Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you!
Completely agree with Roget. Was all set to downvote until I got to the end of the interview and realised that I quite liked hanging around and listening to post ghost. Dr Prasad is not half bad either - future GAW member?

That's not the direction I would take him (he's more interesting to me as The Guy Who Kinda Gets It But Is Committed To The Other Side), but it's plausible enough that I'm curious to see how someone else would write it.

I actually thought a lot of the possibility while reading GAW. Given how lenient the Foundation is with them with good reason, I can imagine a researcher becoming at least a member of their chat without leaving the Foundation. Dr Prasad seems just the guy.
> (~802726 of the time)
I think you mean ~80.2726% of the time? Or is this a running count of how many times people have skipped over the "mashedpork" posts? And if it is a percentage, how have they pinned the number down to so many significant digits?
I don't like GAW in general because I just can't take them seriously. They never seem terribly utilitarian in their goals or methods. But here, seeing them do something so… sweet as this (as sweet as this slice of Internet culture can be) was actually pretty endearing. +1
I'd recommend shortening everything but the Addendum, where the meat of the article is. The Containment Procedures especially go on longer than necessary, and you don't really need much of an exposition here. And the idea of a Foundation doctor being familiar enough with Internet culture to immediately respond to the coy roleplaying *newspaper whapwhap* doesn't seem right. The moment would play over better if he reacted like your parents would.

Actually, what happened is that I listed this as "SCP-%" in my sandbox since it's shorter to type than "SCP-XXXX", and when I used Find+Replace to change it to 2726, it picked up the % in "80%". So basically I'm a dumbass.
The Description has also been cut down as much as I think I can afford to; I'll leave the containment procedures alone for now, since I think (almost) every line of it is necessary to actually do containment properly.

Immediately, certainly not. But when it's your job to talk to an SCP and get information out of it, they will A) only assign you if you have some familiarity with how the internet works, and B) after a while you'll learn to get on its level regardless. This isn't the first interview between the two — I tried to establish that they're comfortable around each other at this point.
Glad you enjoyed the piece, and thanks for your feedback!

I'm so happy you wrote the first good deed scp from GAW (that wasn't political in nature), and the fact that they did it for a Polish trans girl really sets the stage for things I wanna start throwing into the canon. Once again, scans, I'm lovin' it. -1.
not but seriously +1
This hits a note of sincerity and genuine character that I don't really get when reading other GAW pieces. The addendum ghost speaks in a manner that I would expect in those other pieces, but something about the way the conversation is structured allows the fact that a real person is present (or ghost-person, what have you) to come through. The fact that the phenomenon and its implications are allowed to come through naturally, rather than by heavy, artificial exposition, is another strong point. That's especially surprising given the interview format, which in so many other articles is a vehicle for a heavy-handed infodump.
Overall, a nice use of the SCP format to tell a story and do some character establishment and development.
I actually agree with this. I think that GAW's sense of humor has been established in what we've written, we should definitely move to showing the Good that they try to bring to the world, in "humorous" ways and not. And Scans really got it here.
First time I've upvoted a GAW SCP. It's a good character study, but the upvote was mostly because of the tirade of Black Mirror. I hate that show.
I like Black Mirror :c
pastarasta1 is quick-talking and often scheming
what the fuck
+1
deliver more of this good stuff directly to my face please and thank you
