There have been few things I've looked forward to more on this site than Mr. Maine getting what's coming to him.

The writer does an excellent job of showing how real human evil is a disgusting, repulsive thing.

I was also looking forward to this series' climactic confrontation. Having had it occur at one remove - especially the distancing effect of being told about Harold's fate before it happens - I wonder whether denying readers the on-page murder was a deliberate way of confronting them with their own bloodthirstiness in wanting Harold dead. It will be interesting to see how the characters are affected by their actions, and whether this is addressed in the final instalment.

Hey, you wrote some more of this! I'd somehow missed the two latest installments being posted.

It felt good to see Harold finally get his (exceedingly well-deserved) comeuppance, although I feel his punishment could have fitted the crime a little better (not gonna lie, this is one of those rare instances when I would have welcomed outright torture porn). My bloodlust aside, though, nice work, I really enjoyed this series and the characters you created (especially your truly-repulsive villain). It was also refreshing to get a creepypasta-esque story only tangentially related to the Foundation. I feel there's a place on the site for more of those.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Thanks. As hinted above, this isn't quite the final instalment. Next one due in maybe a week, depending on how it goes…

You mean seeing him turned into a literal piece of excrement wasn't enough? Ok it was a dream, but even so :)
