This tale is dedicated to Taffeta, for whom it was created in the Forum Art Exchange.

Taffeta, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the support you give me, not just in writing, brainstorming, and critique, but also as a friend. I'm glad I had the opportunity to make this for you.

Adam Rowe's story continues in Comedown Machine.

This is a fun little game of geas-and-mouse right here, and I appreciate all the little nods and chunks of worldbuilding you splice in throughout. Thoroughly enjoyable and exciting from front to back.

What a nice use of Seance Dust, and what a nice addition to the Third Law canon.

I really appreciate how your protagonist is able to out smart the Redzone goons, and feel like this is not the last we will see of them for a while.

This is a marvelous use of lore. I'm really impressed with how naturally everything comes together. It's all very clever and quite satisfying. +1.

I'm not too familiar with Third Law stuff, but I enjoyed this nonetheless. (Except the red-to-white gradient with gray¹ black text. That was painful. Perhaps a duller gradient, more of a white-to-reddish-gray? It looks like the red is pure #ff0000, so maybe something on the duller end, like #8d3939 or something.)

This is really rather good - one of the first tales that has made Three Portlands feel *functional* to me. I look forward to more of Adam Rowe.

The writing quality here is very high and consistent throughout — a special spotlight of this is the red div I feel like, which genuinely feels claustrophobic and like it's grabbing my throat. I do feel like Adam's recruitment into Red Zone is… a bit rushed, honestly, but I can definitely look past that — very solid tale all-around.

This is my first exposure to a lot of these elements, but intuiting their traits while reading is always fun. Everything comes together very nicely even when you don’t fully know the concepts. That’s very nice.
