I'm obviously massively in favour of cross-promotion of my work (!) - the link to Exit Interview has led to as many upvotes on that tale yesterday as in the preceding two months. Thanks very much for that!
You are of course more than welcome to link to Boxes. That said, I won't be headcanoning it - I quite like that tale existing in a liminal space where the role of the Foundation, and even the existence of the anomalous, is not certain.
God damn you, Eldritch. Take your upvote, you monster. Gah.
I'm going to be scratching my skin for the rest of the day.
Have you all seen my photo of the dead ichneumon wasp I found with the four-inch long ovipositor? It looks like a long metallic needle.
No, it's not for stinging people. It's for injecting eggs into host larvae through solid wood. Much better.
ETA: I've determined that what I found was a Megarhyssa macrurus.
No, that is most certainly not better. It's a good thing this'll filter out of my memory by bedtime, or it would feature heavily in nightmares.
Aiden, nicely done, +1.
Wasps, maggots, and clusters of holes all freak me right the hell out. I'm gonna have some trouble listening to Beck for a while.
He'll be in your dreams (dreams) dre-eams, d-d-d-dreams.
My only gripe with this is the way the crosslink was done. I feel like it could be grounded better in-universe. You could have a researcher's note at that point, indicating that Beck held up a hand-sign known to be used by fifthist members, or something to that effect.
Well, this certainly is far better than it has any right to be. Was not expecting Fifthists to show up! (And the whole thing's a smokescreen? What the fuuuuck?)

WHAT THE FUUUUUUNONONONONO just take your upvote and leave D:

Was this inspired by seeing that the website for Neutrogena has in it's title "Skin Care Products"?
I actually didn't know that. Makes sense in hindsight, I s'pose.
In actual fact, AbsentmindedNihilist suggested "wasps which were WASPs" as an SCP idea in chat one day. I thought of the appropriate skincare products such WASP wasps would need to get the wasps out of their pores and this was born.
