OCTOBER 2026 INTROS - Writers

Hello, prospective site writers! It's good to see you here!
This month's random question is: on an average day, what is the last thing you look at before you go to sleep?
First off, a couple standard things to keep in mind as you get started towards adding your voice to the Foundation universe:
- Definitely read the How to Write an SCP Guide and the pages in the Guide Hub that are relevant to your ideas!
- Make a sandbox page for your works in progress, reference notes, inspirational snippets, and more author things!
- Get familiar with the Writing Help Forums:
- Questions Desk: For all your questions about the writing process!
- Ideas Critique: For asking about concepts that you're thinking of writing up! This is an especially important step for first-time authors!
- Drafts Critique: For reviews of your finished pieces, to see what edits need to be made to your work to make it ready for the mainlist!

Feel free to respond to other new members if you find that your writing interests and/or plans overlap. The SCP wiki is a collaborative writing community, after all! You might even see some of the longtime writers here drop by with comments now and then. :)
