Seeking Greenlights: Yes
Page Type: Tale
Genre: Action
Page Layout: Present tense, third-person limited perspective from Mark's point of view, shifting to William's point of view at the end.
Elevator Pitch: This is the first entry in a planned series. A rogue branch of the SCP Foundation emerges, seeking total independence from the O5 Council by launching a surprise attack on Site-36.
Central Narrative: Mark is a documenter working at Site-36 on the day the Kazakhstan Foundation launches its assault. He flees to the breach shelter alongside other non-combat personnel. Hostile soldiers breach the shelter and execute most of the personnel inside; the few survivors hide beneath an overturned steel table.
The soldiers demand a documenter to delete all surveillance footage of the attack. Mark steps forward. Unwilling to leave the remaining survivors to die, he overpowers his escort and guns down one of the soldiers. Outnumbered and injured, he flees the shelter, drawing fire away from the survivors. He is eventually rescued by a Mobile Task Force (MTF) squad.
Mark wakes up in a medical bay where an interviewer named John debriefs him. After recording Mark's account, John delivers his report to William. Through William's internal monologue, the backstory of the Kazakhstan Foundation—and their motives for breaking away from the O5 Council—is revealed to the reader.

Additional Notes: This Tale serves as the introductory chapter to a larger series, setting up the broader narrative arc and core conflict. That the branch is Kazakhstan can change. it can be any country that doesn't have a branch.
