"Are you familiar with the Site's Deletion Policy?" - Yes, I am familiar with the Site’s Deletion Policy.

"Do you know how to delete a page completely?" - Yes.

"Are you comfortable installing scripts onto your browser using Tampermonkey or another tool to help run deletions, should this be needed?"

I would have to learn how to properly use the tool, and it would have to be compatible with android devices.

"Why do you want to join this team?"

I have seen many low-quality articles, tales, and other workpieces be posted to this site, which I believe is tainting the reputation that the site had/currently has. Due to the amount of said articles and other pieces appearing here, I would like to assist in the deletion of these articles.

Note: I am still in the process of recovering my Discord account. I will edit this post once I have recovered my account.

DELETION! DELETION! TIMER! Delete... Myself?

Shapey 26 Aug 2026 12:56

Are you familiar with the Site's Deletion Policy? Yes. Deletion range, 24 hours, 3 witnesses, etc.
Do you know how to delete a page completely? Yes.
Are you comfortable installing scripts onto your browser using Tampermonkey or another tool to help run deletions, should this be needed? Not really, I did a moderation role in a website a couple years ago, and it turned out that the "mod-help" tool was secretly malware.
Why do you want to join this team? I've witnessed lots of low-quality articles, whether its AI, rule breaking, or just low quality. I've had moments where I see the deletion timer have 3 witnesses, and the timer is up, but it doesnt get deleted for another 24 hours. I want to make the Site better, by being a active member of the deletions team. I've been active ever since I joined the site at late January, and I've been active ever since. Im also a bad author, So I want to contribute to the site in another way, other then writing.
P.S. Discord just… doesn't work for me. Breaks for me, so I can't use it. Sorry if I get rejected because of it.

Alright. Thanks for telling me!
Will I be able to resubmit my application later?
Edit: Was it because of Discord?

You can resubmit your application after a minimum of 6 months. Also, a Discord account is a fundamental requisite to join a team.

"How familiar are you with the current tagging system?"

Fairly familiar, though I'm more than willing to take as many looks as is needed to completely refamiliarize myself

"Have you tagged pages of your own or others prior to applying?"

No. Planned to on my first Article, but decided to let Staff do it instead as that was the recommended thing to do.

"Are you able to dedicate time weekly to tag newly posted pages?"

Yes

"Why do you want to join this team?"

I wish to help out the wiki rather than just being a spectator/writer for it, and I felt as if I got the gist of the different tags and their usecases when I was planning to tag my Article on my own.

Deletions

"Are you familiar with the Site's Deletion Policy?"

Yes.

"Do you know how to delete a page completely?"

Yes.

"Are you comfortable installing scripts onto your browser using Tampermonkey or another tool to help run deletions, should this be needed?"

Yes.

"Why do you want to join this team?"

I would be comfortable running deletions and I would like to help the process be quicker by just being another person to help.

Sandbox Cleaning.

"Are you comfortable with installing and running userscripts in your browser to assist with sandbox sweeps?”

Yes.

"Are you able to dedicate 15-45 minutes at regular or somewhat regular times weekly or semi-weekly?”

Yes.

“What is your timezone?”

EST.

"Are you comfortable with viewing potentially objectionable content?”

Yes.

"(Optional) What experience, if any, do you have with moderating sites, chats, or forums?”

I moderate for the SCP discord server right now, but I have experience moderating large community sites/apps and chats.

“Why do you want to join this team?”

I have quite a lot of time on my hands right now, and feel I could spend that time helping this team. I am also already on a team that looks at adult content, so seeing objectionable content is not something that bothers me.

Tagging

"How familiar are you with the current tagging system?"

Fairly familiar due to just reading up on them.

"Have you tagged pages of your own or others prior to applying?"

No.

"Are you able to dedicate time weekly to tag newly posted pages?"

Yes.

"Why do you want to join this team?"

I would like to help lessen the workload active taggers have at the moment.

"How familiar are you with the current tagging system?"

I'm pretty familiar with it. I've read the tag list recently out of boredom, so I'd say that I know which tags go where.

"Have you tagged pages of your own or others prior to applying?"

Not yet. I always post my stuff right before going to sleep, and by the time I wake up, the page is already tagged. As for tagging pages of others, I didn't really do that since I'm not part of the staff.

"Are you able to dedicate time weekly to tag newly posted pages?"

Yep.

"Why do you want to join this team?"

I want to contribute to the site more. Currently, due to me often getting a writer's block, I'm unable to post new pages frequently, but I still want to have my part in how this site grows. As such, I want to join staff, preferably in the team in whose task I believe myself to be the most competent.

Deletions

"Are you familiar with the Site's Deletion Policy?"

Yes.
Articles reaching -10 votes are tagged and put on a timer before deletion. I am also familiar with summary deletions for severe rule violations and the process for author-requested deletions.

"Do you know how to delete a page completely?"

Yes. I scroll to the bottom of the page, click '+ Options', select 'Delete', and choose the 'Delete Completely' option to ensure the page and its history are fully wiped.

"Are you comfortable installing scripts onto your browser using Tampermonkey or another tool to help run deletions, should this be needed?"

I am more than comfortable installing scripts onto my browser, I have plenty of experience with Javascript, HTML, and I have extensive knowledge on Python.
I am also a very quick learner.

"Why do you want to join this team?"

I have great appreciation for a well-maintained wikidot, I have plenty of prior experience with the SCP universe, and I like working in rule-based environments. These things motivate me to contribute to maintaining this wiki at a high standard.

Deletions Questions

"Are you familiar with the Site's Deletion Policy?"

I am. General rule is that when a page reaches -10 score (adjusted for deleted account votes), it becomes eligible for deletion with three staff witnesses and after 24 hours has elapsed since voting began. The 24 hour grace period does not apply to articles from -20 onwards and AI/blank/incomplete pages.

"Do you know how to delete a page completely?"

Yes. Options -> Delete -> Delete completely.

"Are you comfortable installing scripts onto your browser using Tampermonkey or another tool to help run deletions, should this be needed?"

Yes. I already use other scripts.

"Why do you want to join this team?"

I have been looking for a way to be a helping hand on the wiki since I rejoined. Whilst I am mostly on IRC, the team is full and I've been looking to MAST as a way to be helpful whilst not requiring exceptional trust from current staffers in order to begin by proving myself as a positive contributor. I've been watching Deletions for a while and I see it as a vital subteam that I feel I could helpfully contribute to.

Sandbox Cleaning questions

"Are you comfortable with installing and running userscripts in your browser to assist with sandbox sweeps?”

Yes I am.

"Are you able to dedicate 15-45 minutes at regular or somewhat regular times weekly or semi-weekly?”

I'd be happy to do my rounds every week, most likely on Thursday night.

“What is your timezone?”

CET/CEST.

"Are you comfortable with viewing potentially objectionable content?”

I am.

"(Optional) What experience, if any, do you have with moderating sites, chats, or forums?”

I've moderated chats for the better part of 4 years at this point, mostly on Discord. These range from roleplaying servers to content creators' servers.

“Why do you want to join this team?”

Well, just like Deletions, I feel like this is a subteam I could positively contribute to and build up trust with other staffers. I also feel like both subteams do work that is not terrifyingly public like CO and PR, which gives me more ease of mind.

My Discord is @tmwyk, I'm both on the main and staff servers. Hope to hear back soon!

Edit: For greater clarity, I did switch accounts a while back, but I am well versed with Wikidot.

Sandbox Cleaning

"Are you comfortable with installing and running userscripts in your browser to assist with sandbox sweeps?”

Yes, I am.

"Are you able to dedicate 15-45 minutes at regular or somewhat regular times weekly or semi-weekly?”

Yes, I am.

“What is your timezone?”

British Summer Time (UTC+1)

"Are you comfortable with viewing potentially objectionable content?”

Yes, I am.

"(Optional) What experience, if any, do you have with moderating sites, chats, or forums?”

I was previously the head moderator for an SCP roleplay community of around 400 members.

“Why do you want to join this team?”

I have found that i have a lot of free time, and so I want to use it productively to help maintain the wiki's infrastructure.

Deletion
"Are you familiar with the Site's Deletion Policy?" Yes, I had some time to read it fast and I understand it mostly. Article's with -10 Score are to be put at a timer and notified in the comments with a 24 hour notice, then if failed to comply to the notice will be deleted of the wiki.
"Do you know how to delete a page completely?" Yeah click options then select delete and choose the delete complety option, then its deleted.
"Are you comfortable installing scripts onto your browser using Tampermonkey or another tool to help run deletions, should this be needed?" Yeah.
"Why do you want to join this team?" I want to make sure our deletion Policy is being followed and that all pages that are needed to be deleted are deleted.
