THE FUTURE OF MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY

With the new Prometheus Laboratories Setanta Medical Alert system, you're assured safety and quality with fast-response geas technology alerting carers and hospital staff alike…

Much thanks to GreenWolf and TyGently for convincing me to get off my arse and actually finish it, as well as Rimple and Shaggydredlocks for reviewing in chat.

ETA: Thanks to Smapti for reminding me that it was Kalinin Kaliningrad not Koenigsburg at the time the treaty was signed.

YES.

I've been waiting for this to be posted for ages now. Good work, Aiden.

TyGently 31 Aug 2016 20:09

A good story mixed with a solid primer on paratechnology and an admirable combination of different formats. I've been looking forward to this for a while. As you know.

Excellent work. I particularly like the idea of a 'microscopic tartarean pinhole', and thoroughly enjoyed this tale.

Rimple 31 Aug 2016 23:42

A+ work, dude. I adore how grounded and thorough this feels - a combination of detail and excellent writing led me to feel like I was really reading through action reports and geas documentation. I fucking love immersive sci fi.

A nice tale with a solid amount of world building. While breaking down magic into scientific terms can become dry, this was well written and kept me entertained the whole time.

+1. Another good addition to the 3rd Law hub.

Third Law+Space+Thaumatology+An After-Action Report. How can I not upvote this? Very well done.

What the hell is this blue background?

Taffeta 01 Sep 2016 09:41

The magic of CSS. Sexy, sexy, CSS. More seriously, you'll be able to find it on any page that's in Third Law thanks to this code:

[[module CSS]]
@import url(/component:3lawtheme/code/1);
[[/module]]

Other such pages include The Fountain of Lamneth and The Analog Kid

Very nice. I'm always a sucker for nice world-building and for tying into existing worldbuilding - Invoking Berryman and Langford was a nice touch.

Voct 28 Sep 2016 14:15

kinda disappoints me, actually, since I know who Langford and Berryman actually are.

(Dave Langford, SF author, and his character Vernon Berryman.)

The Tech-xorcist. Bam. Nicknamed.

Great tale, though I'm a sucker for Science Fantasy.

Cough cough cough.
