It's sort of like Ratatouille writ practical; this critter doesn't use any ridiculous puppeteering moves and wants things that one would reasonably assume a normal rat to want. The similarities seem superficial at best.
I'm not a big fan of this SCP in general, because I feel that the concept 'mind controllig nonhuman intelligence' should have much more horror potential than this. What little creep factor remained, however, was swiftly dampened by the cutesy picture. LOLcat fuel is not SCP fuel. (…unless posted by Gears.)
