Funny, that: I'll point you at zebras, whose black and white stripes seem to be mimicry, of the "can't tell one from the other" variety and until recently thought to be of "blend in with the plants' shadows or whatever" variety. surely zebras could blend in better. at risk of sounding like a sci fi cliche, insects evolve faster.
That said, yes this is way too fast. It is also an anomaly.

Sky sloths work because some guy did some artificial selection, based on anomalous traits, possibly using some wunderwaffle that lets him speed breeding up. And still these sloths are not literate.
Natural selection works off throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. it's not sticky, but there's a HUGE amount of shit. if these things evolved in the wild, Earth should be just completely full of random bottles of random shapes and sizes before they just stumble onto accurate reproductions of coke bottles. I'm not buying the "oh it's anomalous". It copies coke bottles (and no other soft drink) and learned how to do that instantly.
It's cognizant of its surroundings or the process is being controlled by an entity that is.
There's a reason they mimic coke bottles. Brand awareness.
