I liked this one a lot. Could a page be created explaining more of the information that has been gleaned from the drive?
Yet another article which has not aged well… Given we have got better anomalous data sources these days, -1.
Eh. This hasn't aged brilliantly, and it is a bit bland, but there are far worse old articles. Also, I really love the last addendum's hints that the alt!Foundation's been seriously screwed over.
The blackboxed site name is totally Site-13, guys.
Think about it.
I choose to believe this, and it makes the article a lot more enjoyable for me.
That being said, I like this quite a bit, even if we have more modern or more in-depth examples. The fact that it's so huge and refreshes often enough that we need to look at it daily (even throwing us memetic kill agents) gives it just enough to make it more than "hard drive from another universe".
The article is okay, but… that's obviously a stock photo :-P are normal photos of hard drives hard to find??
The image is a stock photo of a hard drive. It could not be sourced reliably to any one source and thus is assumed not compliant with CC 3.0; therefore, it has since been removed.
An interesting concept, but nothing is done about or with it. I understand that it's because it's old, but it has definitely not withstood the passing of time well.
