Dawn of the Final Day

Dino--Draws 07 Sep 2025 23:49

There was a kid who came home, red from panic and fear,
Some kids at the school, had beaten him way past tear,
His mom cried "Jesus christ!", as she cleaned the blood pouring out of his ears,
But it was obvious that, quiet as a rat,
God was nowhere near.

Remember, remember, the 8th of September — for we sit upon its blood red dawn.

I wrote this entire thing in a stint of autism like last year after reading all of tbgo and tossed it at Harry n Place and then we all collectively forgot Until Now because shenanigans are afoot once more ehehehehe. Big big thanks to those two for allowing me the honor of being the opening act to something I am incredibly excited for oh my godddddd im so excited you guys

So, enjoy!!!

Big ol thanks to HarryBlank, UNCGriffin, Kikunai and drfrankafka for critting this!

WELCOME TO THE PARTY

It's such a joy to have this series entry from you, after all you've given us. Your kindness, generosity, inspiration and incredible art and writing make so much of what the rest of us do possible. This tale is awesome and I'm super proud to see it kicking off the next phase of our shared sanguine delusion.

…Anyways, uh, I... uh... you know... I even got -- when I was, uh, when I was very small, I even got lost at Coney Island, but they found me. On the, on, on the beach. And we used to sleep on the beach here, sleep overnight. They don’t do that anymore. Things changed, you see. They don’t sleep anymore on the beach.

There's something truly haunting about some of the wording used in this. I sadly don't have too much knowledge on some aspects of OG43 (I really need to read more rip) but I don't care, this still manages to deliver a great little story.

A great little story that makes me even more excited for TBGO4 than I already was.

It's 106 miles to Ipperwash.
We've got a full tank of chaos.
Half a pack of order.
It's dark, light, and void.
And we're wearing lenseless sunglasses.
Hit it.

Absolutely love the imagery here; it's haunting in a very unique way that walks the fine line between fucked up and edgy very well without ever falling to the latter side. Loooove to also see what's going on with The Freak before he gets brought into the fold. Very very good stuff.

Not in the Hub

is this intentionally not on the on-guard-43 hub or no?
