The transformation that happens to vehicles reminds me very strongly of Living Hell by Catherine Jinks1 (which is probably unpopular enough that no one even knows what it is) but it's in a very good way.

This was inspired Aoneareyou60 of reddit, who issued a prompt on "Roadkill Revenge" here ://www.reddit.com/r/SCP/comments/4kpv98/another_scp_idea_roadkill_revenge/
I did modify the initial prompt heavily since then…
Thank you to reviewers such as Hercules Rockefeller, Scorpion451, Steeltitan, Moen and others.

So this SCP somehow ended up in my re-using "Old Chin", a character mentioned in SCP-2372. I think it is befitting, as both SCPs deal with Chinese supernatural elements to some extent.
The LTE-1985-Grey Bluechild are reminiscent of Chiyou's followers as described in Document-2481, who essentially sided with the Brass Dragon and gained bodies of metal.
The road here is a residue of different thaumaturgies mixed onto one place, the Taoist-style reanimation and Brass Dragon's blessings.
I know it's been like, years since I said this but if anyone doesn't know Aoneareyou60 is me. I honestly wanna say thank you so much for turning one of my ideas into a SCP.
pastarasta1 is quick-talking and often scheming
Nicely done MrWrong. I like that you added the moaning sounds/funeral music inside the cars, that was a nice touch.

and determined that no bodies have been interned in the area.
should be "interred"
Better than the first time I saw it!
Minor nitpick, GOC Assessment teams use 3-digit unit identifiers beginning with a seven. (And now I feel like a nerd.)
+1, would take out for a spin.
I don't get the GOC document, and I think this would benefit from more tests (Why no cat bus?), but other than that, I really like this. +1
Three Emperors and Five Sovereigns period in China
Was that intentional? Wikipedia lists a Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors period, not the other way around.

I accept. In addition, I will include this following crosslink with Document-2481 here:
A tribe which allegedly existed during the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors period in China. Its most famous member is the warlord Chiyou, revered by ethnic Miao as a mythical king.
Noted. Will include with other crosslink edits.
after local politicians investigated and determined that no bodies have been interred in the area
A way of saying they know the Chinese government wants to build that road, so they moved the bodies somehow.
Nature of transaction is stated to be payment for mass exhumation of carcasses from an unspecified burial site within one night.
There it is.
This is very good work. D-3858's self-immolation has some intriguing implications that were only hinted at with the chicken and the zokor.
…Awww, come on, the article only has 49 upvotes!?! Well, make that 50.
