I don't think the bolding of the transformation stages is necessary, and I think the test logs would greatly benefit from being in quote boxes (they're kind of a mess to look at), but all-in-all this is awesome.

An intriguing premise, with an enjoyable test log. Some of the description is kind of clunky in how the stages of affliction are described but that didn't detract from my enjoyment. +1

I'm quite pleased that each test has a clearly defined purpose, and that the Foundation decided not to continue testing the chameleon's effect on people. Glad to see that people understand what a test log should be.

I really like the implication that if exposed to a potentially threatening object (Like the handgun), it transmutes it in such way its rendered useless, I suspect that if exposed to, lest say, a knife, it will render it dull for example.

I'm pretty sure the being-rendered-unusable is just incidental. A chameleon doesn't understand what a gun is, and I doubt it would be able to conceive of a difference between a knife and a stick.

"Reverse Chameleon" is a much better name for this than "Chameleonscaper", by the way.

The malnutrition and vitamin deficiency - those are because everything the chameleon comes in contact with is just more of herself.

What happens if she lays eggs? Will they all be female?

The name did occur to me, but I felt it was too on-the-nose.

Not necessarily so. The SCP only transmutes its surroundings when in an agitated state; when the SCP is content and happy, its surroundings - and therefore, its food - remain normal. The SCP was in poor health upon discovery because it was being so poorly taken care of. I'm updating the entry as we speak to make this more clear.

What happens if she lays eggs? Will they all be female?

To my knowledge, female chameleons can't bear offspring from unfertilized eggs (although some lizards can). The SCP would presumably be able to mate with a male of the same species, and lay eggs that would hatch into a clutch of mixed-sex offspring.

I'd imagine that since SCP-2186 is immune to her own anomalous effects, her hypothetical offspring would be as well.

Not sure how I feel about that last log, but I do appreciate that they stopped testing on the chameleon itself after a while. Overall, a fun object with a neat effect.
