I recently had a minor run-in with a mod for my (now former) membership of the RPC Authority Wiki and was forced to either remove myself from RPCs membership or refrain from rejoining SCP. I am aware of SCP and RPCs past drama and the incidents of harassment from RPC members (of which I took no part of, nor do I care about this rivalry in general). That being said, while this is a somewhat understandable rule, I feel as if it completely disregards the many non-assholes who simply wish to take part in multiple anomalous containment wikis, such as those individuals who had no prior involvement or stake in the now years-stale drama.

TL;DR: Cast judgment based on actions instead of generalizing.

I think you should take a minute and consider how not taking a position on a matter that you yourself describe as 'harasser vs victim' portrays your character to observers, and if this is how you want to present yourself.

Disregarding that, being a member of multiple different anomalous containment sites isn't a meaningful choice. When given a choice between being a member of the SCP wiki vs being a member of any of those other sites, most people will choose to join the SCP wiki because SCP is the one that's most alive. *You* made that choice, after all — when given a choice between RPC or SCP, you chose SCP.

So given that, think about this from the perspective of a moderator. What benefit would SCP staff get from allowing dual membership with a community that was created because its founders got mad about the pride logo in SCP, when most people who aren't also mad about the pride logo in SCP would quit that community to join SCP?

I find it odd that you describe the exchange we had as a "run-in" when I just explained to you what our expectations were. I didn't argue with you or anything of the like— I just simply stated that we do not allow people with RPC membership to become site members. I didn't accuse you of any antagonism towards our community or the like.

You seem to be fully aware of why we don't allow RPC members, so I'll be direct in saying that we are not going to be changing our approach or requirements. The RPC community has an extensive history of harassment and doxxing towards our community members, and as it stands we will continue to bar users with active RPC membership from the wiki.

By "run-in" I didn't mean to imply our interaction was hostile, I was merely stating that I was approached about it (looking up the exact definition, "run-in" was the wrong word entirely). I understand that the site's stance will not change, and I'll leave it at that. Apologies again for any inconvenience.
