This is officially my first SCP! I'd like to thank Leviathan34 for looking it over in chat.
ETA. If you remember looking at an earlier iteration and gave me feedback (it was awhile ago) I'd like to thank you so lemme know(it was much duller before initial feedback).
You should be proud because even if this was kinda short and it almost made me downvote but when I saw the twist my jaw dropped!

Personally, it stands to reason that Wondertainment ought to have its own QC. However, if we suppose Wondertainment is a lone operator making these things, he might have been dishing out test products to the Foundation for beta testing.
Ha! Now I have an image of Wondertainment testing products on Oompa-Loompa expies! :)
They're corgis, actually. Corgis named "Jeremy." No mucking about with that Oompa-Loompa nonsense.
I was wondering , Why the hell would wondertainment give this out to people ?
Until I realized it was a batman gambit that made the SCP test this out on D-Class.
woah, Wondertainment is Savage
How blasé the Foundation is or is not when it comes to human experimentation is an evolving thing. While I might not necessarily agree with the interpretation presented here, where there's no second thoughts1 about feeding anomalous materials that purport to grant super powers to people, it's within site norms enough that I wouldn't characterize it as deficient writing.
All that said, I have a very difficult time believing that Wondertainment, as portrayed by almost all other writers on the site, would be okay with harming people to test its products. In most cases, on of the defining qualities of the group is that its products, while misguided and not quite cognizant of how reality works on this specific plane, are not overtly harmful or malicious. It's supposed to be a company specializing in educational products for children. They're not going to engage in crimes against humanity.
Beyond that, what sense does this make? Why would you go to the trouble of infiltrating one of the few organizations that's aware of your existence and is actively suppressing you to trick them into testing your products for you? Wouldn't it be far easier to just do the testing yourself? They clearly have no moral objections in this portrayal.
I really don't care for Wondertainment material in general, but this doesn't even really fit the themes that have been established for that group or make any sort of sense whatsoever. That might be forgivable, but there's no reason for flouting that convention in order to justify it. And without the connection to the larger mythos, I don't feel that there's much here.
You've got a point. I didn't mean for Wondertainment to come off that darkly. I've got a good idea how to salvage the mis-characterization, though. I'll try to get this fixed asap. Thanks for the input.
Concievably, they may have chosen the Foundation specifically for people that deserve to die anyway.
I love this idea. And since they're apparently labeled the same I could totally see a "distribution error" where the test candy gets mixed in with the final version once it's complete.
I love what this implies about Wondertainment.
Firstly he sees the Foundation as an ally and is totally ignorant of how they see him. I get that some may think this is just uncharacteristic but I love that he thinks of the Foundation as "the best people for the job".
Secondly any Wondertainment scip that doesn't have an acquisition report could have been used as a beta test (which I have just headcanoned). +1.
I think the (SCP classification pending) would look better as a footnote. Just my opinion.
