I got the idea for this piece because I wanted to do a weirdcore article, and weirdcore is great for exploring themes of trauma. One of my headmates wrote one of the logs and he also did a lot of editing of the lines for me and brainstormed with me, so I credited him as working on it with me!
I based some of what Ilya went through based on my own experiences, so I quite like this one. Didn't think I'd ever contribute to an SCP, but this one is a bit different. - J
I quickly grew to really like Ilya, I've got some more art piece ideas with him. Part of the idea for this was "don't silence trauma victims, cause in the SCP universe, the trauma may become sapient and angry".
But translating to IRL, don't silence trauma victims. The feelings we have are valid, we deserve kindness, and patience, and that preferring that we just "suck it up" or mask it instead of getting proper help or being given the patience we need is just detrimental for everyone, not just the person affected. - J
Also my first successful esoteric! (ignore 4787, that one doesn't have an object class :p) For taggers, the object class is not pending, it is either "dream" or "More than a dream, and more than a memory."! So it is an esoteric class!
I got so lucky finding that mouth sweatshirt, it absolutely had those weirdcore vibes I wanted to evoke with The Hollowness
Thank you Queerious for the ending idea and also that snippet by Prof. Bowers, the snippet features an edited version of something she wrote as an idea of what to go with; J and I loved the ending idea so much
