It might be just me, but I get a kinda-but-not-quite Terry Prachett feel out of this. And that is a good thing.
No, Gnago, I am extremely sorry and am currently covering my head with ashes in sheer shame of contradicting you, but vanille is feminine.
Unless there are several kinds of vanille, in which case it should be aux vanilles. ;-D
Oh. Wait… You are Aprilfooling me, right? <charming smile>
Aleph: hey bud, long time no see! How are you, my luuuuurve?
Never read Terry Pratchett. You think I should? rrh rrh
I missed you too, mademoiselle ^-^. Had a lot of stuff going on, and I may not be as active as I used to, but at least I will be here to bother you in the forums.
And yeah, you should. Yeah you should.
Which one of Pratchett's books is the very best best favourite top preferred you like most?
Small Gods, Night Watch and Monstrous Regiment are my top three favorite Discworld books.
dammit I always thought it was masculin, I have brought shame upon my country and language *melts into a puddle of shame and pure embarassment*,, My family and general community near me would use "au" too. hehe, yeah, april fools!!
This is really freakin' weird and out there, but I like it.
Were you…smoking anything, Eta? :P
Well done, in any case. +1
Aleph & Sirpudding: oh. Yeah. Discworld. A series of books. This, to me, generally means bankruptcy…!
Gnago: you cheeky little thing, you! ;>
TL333s: a solid WTF? upvote from you! I'm very much honored, good Sir!
Herc: my usual cigarettes. Um… Unless… But I won't be able to get them analyzed until Monday…!
The Duckman. Dr Bright. He works at the Foundation (see note n° 3, in the paragraph starting with 'In the evenings'. ;>
Duckman is the handle of the real world author, and is presumably named after the cartoon detective. Whereas Jack, Adam, and the rest of the Bright clan are characters he created. I believe he took some pains to draw a separation between them and himself.
Must confess I didn't have (nor take) much time to dig in. And there is also the possibility that I didn't understand the rules of the contest: thought writing a story about a site 'celebrity' was precisely what was expected…!
ETA Oops, just realized right now that I forgot a rating module, and Proxymoron put it in for me… THANK YOU PROX!!!! <3
After a period of intense reflection not inferior to two weeks, I just deleted the first few sentences, in order for the tale to start… when it starts!
Gonna go over the whole of it again to see if other things need to be changed. Opinions welcome!
Hmmm, kind of hard to tell how this could be improved, seeing how unconventional the article is to begin with… However, if I had to suggest one thing, I would echo sirpudding's earlier comment that the story should have a more substantial connection to the Foundation.
… here are the edits!
Removed all 'author talking' (it was part of the joke about April's Fool, but readers are no longer concerned by the joke now) and added a few things for Foundation reference.

Hope you enjoy more! ;-D
It's 2020-12-19 and I technically came looking for something entirely unrelated, but upon the search spewing out this, I had to read it solely for the title. I was not disappointed.
It is kinda uplifiting to see such an (comparatively) old piece of the site still able to entertain 4 and a half years later even thought I perhaps only get a third of the references.
Whereas the first comment claims this reminds them of Terry Pratchchet, I would rather compare it to Douglas Adams. Which is quite a praise from someone like me.
I came looking for hacky CSS, expected Eldritch Horrors and found true happiness. Or something like that.
