Happy Halloween!
…in November.
Yeah, so this is a little late. Sorry about that, but there were a lot of reasons for the delay. Mainly with how big of a tale it is (by far my longest to date!), and the fact that most of my energy has been dedicated to college recently.
Anyhoo, let's talk about the tale! This is meant to be an unofficial sequel to Nightmare on 17th Street, except this one takes place in the real world. Don't worry, I got Koth's blessing.
This tale also uses a lot of characters from the Devil's Advocate splinter canon. Now, despite the overlapping characters, this story IS NOT CANON to Devil's Advocate. Believe me, I tried, but there were just too many things that couldn't fit.
Ok, with canonicity out of the way, there's another thing I wanted to clarify: the costumes. While most of the skips were wearing basic outfits (witch, scarecrow, cowboy, etc.), there are 2 costumes that probably went over your head. Cain and Kadesh-Nanaya.
Cain is supposed to be dressed as Violet Evergarden, while Kadesh is supposed to be Hassan of Serenity. I need to tell you that this was all my idea with no outside influence. I was definitely not forced to do this by Glassautomaton, I definitely am not tied up in Glass's basement right now, and this most definitely isn't a cry for help.
Anyway, I'd like to give a special thanks to GlassAutomaton and
Kothardarastrix for being this tale's dedicated critters. I'm sure there are tons of spelling and grammar mistakes in the tale (you can probably tell which segments I wrote last when I was burnt out and just wanted it done), but those two helped ensure the article was at least half baked. Also, shout out to
Kuukikyu for letting me steal her character (that being Faye from her Contained webcomic, which you can read here).
Thank you guys again for your patience. I hope you had a good Halloween, and I'll see you in December with the Gift Exchange!
