This has been a long time in the making. It's a rewrite to an older tale I wrote which is in itself a prequel to SCP-5824, but you shouldn't need to read either of them to understand this article. They're really only connected thematically.
This story is written in dactylic hexameter, the meter of classical poems like the Aeneid, it's kind of meant to be read out loud, and it's not really meant for English, but I worked with what I had.
The main critique I'm looking for is whether the story as a whole can be followed. It's meant to be dense and cryptic, but I don't want that to get in the way of the audience's enjoyment. Feel free to point out typos if you see them, but I'm not really looking for any line-by-line critique, save yourself the brain cells.
