[DISCUSSION] Discord Staff Team Needs & Restructure

Over the past several months, the SCP Foundation Official Discord (19cord) has seen a surge in growth in both user numbers and activity. This has resulted in a strain on the moderation team, as well as possible issues with the team's structure and overview by Staff admin, prompting a discussion surrounding the following:

• Moderator Team Structure, particularly with regards admin oversight and interaction with other relevant Site Teams.
• Recruiting more moderators to minimize burn out and support healthy activity.
• Encouraging an activity audit of active moderators to ensure enough coverage.
• Minimization of communication issues with other teams and general users to combat perceptions of unfair bias or interference.

Any other relevant topics or related issues are free to be discussed as well!

I think that recruiting more moderators will be an effective fix for a lot of these issues, but I also think there's a lot of things that have to be done before that.
I fully support what a lot of other people have said about demoting inactive staff. Part of the problem that I often see in these discussions is that people look at the mod list and think there's plenty, when only about half of them are actually active. I know that people can't be active all the time, but if you haven't been active in months, what's the point of being staff? I think that this activity audit (as I've seen other people refer to it) will help make future decisions clearer.
Additionally, I'd like to just make it clear here since it's about staff that I think staff should not be given automatic greenlight perms. It makes no sense.

Definitely we need more moderators. The report message command is great and all. But we need Mods from more timezones in order to cover the chat better. It just seems there's a general lack of moderators across timezones.

Recruiting new moderators is an obvious first step. A continuous activity audit to monitor staff activity going forward will ensure the longevity of current and future staff.
