Yea, though I walk through the lowest rated pages, I will fear no coldpost: for thou art with me SCP Wiki; thy mods and thy staff they comfort me.- Proxymoron
Phew, posting this was a mess. (Okay, sure, there were only two pages, but that's a mess by my standards.)
Anyway, thank you so much to WrongJohnSilver, Decibelle, AJMansfield, Proxymoron, someone from the original draft thread a while back (I'll find said thread and edit you into this comment), and anyone from chat I forgot. Edit: The draft thread is here and the person to thank is Dr Solo.
Also, this was originally this Tumblr post I made, and then I decided I wanted it on the mainsite somehow. (Same process I did with Baby's Guide.)
Ey Cy, if there's a reference to me in here I love all of it. If it's just a reference to the in joke about Ethics Committee you tumblr peeps have it's still funny. Upvoted a while back iirc, but let's try again anyways!
I kept laughing throughout, and the ideas are great. Also, the images. Great images!
That's actually quite a relief, because I was a little worried hers was too much of a throwback to the Series I-era senior staff stereotypes.
Very funny, love the images. Don't think I didn't catch the battery level.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowww. I didn't notice that the first time. Woooooooow, cyan. Wow.
Oooooh. Battery level. Good catch!!!! (is that the Easter Egg, Cyan?)
Right. Now, tell me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a distinct lack of naughty SCP articles on the Wiki? Just repaired. I do suggest 'naughty' for the tag!
I upvoted the whole article (and the supplement), but I would have upvoted anyway for this:
gonna put my Keter-class anomaly in your containment chamber
ROTFLMAO
I am VERY surprised that there is ABSOLUTELY NO grammar/spelling mistake!!!! rrh rrh rrh rrh
Okay. A few lil' nitpicks - possibly due to the fact that I know strictly NIX about phone apps:
Um… What exactly is going on here? Are the messages all real between Foundation personnel, or all fake from some mysterious anomaly, or a mixture of the two?
Some people report that they have been infected… and some don't: Ryan Shaw's sweetheart, Jane and the beautiful Agent ██████████ in the supplement. Would be fun to show the Foundation's powers that be investigate into this?
Is some anomaly acting as a matchmaker between Foundation people? Or have some Foundation personnel taken some liberties with everyone's professional cellphones?
Not sure what you mean by Profile present in application database: yes | no | unsure…
The easter egg is not that, no. I think Mac's the only one that's noticed it thus far, heheh…
Now, tell me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a distinct lack of naughty SCP articles
Yes. It's a shame, ain't it?
I upvoted the whole article (and the supplement), but I would have upvoted anyway for this
Then I definitely suggest you take a look at my newly created author page, particularly near the bottom.
Um… What exactly is going on here?
The app can be used by Foundation personnel, but it ignores almost any changes people make to information in the personnel database anyway. So those profiles may or may not be approved by their 'owners'.
The messaging works, but at least one of the people in the conversation has to be real (for example, when Blanchard says "one of you will have to owe up to this/the app doesn't send messages to itself") and it also functions between two real people who have the app installed. But how do you know whose personnel page is real? How do you know if the person you're talking to is real? That's the thing. (Also, pardon my undoubtedly erratic sentence structure - it's 4 am.)
Edit: To drsciants: You are very observant! And yes, but not as any in-universe reference to it. I just kinda thought that 231, and others, must use a default "image redacted" picture that's used throughout articles/the database whenever something can't be seen (just as a headcanon thing) so that's why I used it.
(Last night I thought about a possible Easter egg: hidden text in the 'unknown user' thing, but that's not it. ;>)
I got the stuff about the anomalous profiles, but the messaging 'rules' are not clear, IMO - because obviously some of the people who message each other at least know who is at the other end (or supposed to be at the other end…!) and others don't. Reminds me of the way LinkedIn or Facebook peeks at your address book and sends emails to (or from!) your contacts without first asking you…
Not a big deal though!
There might be more than one, but the Easter Egg I found was in the supplement. The only reason I saw it is because I have a weird memory and a wee bit of esoteric knowledge that I'm not gonna share. It's probably just gonna be mine and Cyan's little secret. :P
Wait, there's something in the supplement? I thought you commented on the supplement page rather than this one just to keep it on the down-low. Sorry for the confusion, and any easter eggs in the supplement are unintended. I guess I oughta reveal what I was referencing, then…
To Eta: I assume you were looking for white text. Check the page source.
In my reply to you on the supplement log, I said something about your 'field of expertise' because you've written about pattern screamers a lot (at least in that one skip) so I figured you'd pick up on the size 0 text in the main article immediately.
And said size 0 text is totally out-of-character for the pattern screamers. Which is why it's a -J.
Edit: Ohhh. That was such a passing thought as I wrote it that I forgot it was even a reference. I can't believe you remembered. ;P
Well. Now I feel dumb. But yeah, something about salt shakers in New York.
OK, found it on page source.
Must say I'm none the wiser as to what exactly is going on…!
And what are pattern screamers, pray tell, good people?
