Oh well, it looks like this one won't be around for much longer. Sad times. In any case, thanks for reading.
I'm personally a bit surprised by all the downvotes on this one. I think it's a good article overall, albeit with a few slight grammar mistakes, but other than that, I don't think it's bad. Something I've noticed is that it seems as though a lot of the time, if the article isn't one that knocks it out of the park, people will downvote it. It doesn't matter if the article is good or not, but it seems like the article has to be great or else it'll get downvoted and ultimately deleted, which I personally think is kinda weird. Now, I might be reading too much into it, but that's just the conclusion I've come to seeing how some articles that aren't really bad at all end up getting deleted.
Gave this one a +1 and here's to hoping that the good articles don't get treated like the actually poorly written articles just because they're not home run material 100% of the time.
Enjoyable read. 500 D-Class killed from a wardrobe, haha. Might as well toss it in 3008 at that point.
Hello there! I hope that this message finds you and your loved ones well!
I wanted to reach out and note that I thought that this was a great article! I started off skimming a few parts, but the email exchanges between Dr. Ventnor and Dr. Woodridge lured me into reading the whole thing from beginning to end.
It was a slow burner (which, if I can speak frankly, may come as a turnoff to a lot more readers these days), but I thought it carried itself well.
I will say that I think it would have been nice to hear Dr. Ventnor's side of things during the hearing with the Budgetary Commission, even if his input would have effectively been the ramblings of a madman.
I also really liked how you physically structured your article. It flowed really well and you've clearly spent A LOT of time tweaking the mechanics of your page to achieve that flow. My only comment in this regard would be that it took me more time than may be appropriate to notice the updated Special Containment Procedures/Description tab at the top of the page, and that it might have made more sense to include that updated portion at the end of your main article stream rather than as part of a separate tab.
In any case, you have my +1, along with my own hope that this article lives to fight another day!
Thanks for reading! Some of my earlier drafts had more of a dialogue towards the end, but I felt like it never really ended up working. Maybe with a little practice I'll be able to get there.
Ah, missed this one being posted. This changed quite a bit from the draft I saw and I enjoy how you changed the flow by adding in the emails throughout.
Would this count as bureau-cratic horror? …I’ll show myself out.
Aha, there's a twist: this version is the original (and my first ever article!). The draft I had up earlier this year was an attempt at a rewrite, though in the end I felt the rewrite didn't work any better than this version :(
Thanks for reading!
