Really good rewrite <33 Happy to see this one surviving now.
Good effects, good story, interview needs some work, though. Lines like "that terrible accident outside the grocery store" feel really stilted and writerly.
Dr. Hannah Maryam, who attended to Fielding,
And who or what is Fielding?
Woops, I missed a name change back there. Feexed. As for the interview, I guess I'll have to revise it when I get the chance to. Thanks for the feedback!
Edit: re: below: fixed that line, more or less in line with your suggestion
Well minmin. Color me impressed. A while back you showed me the interview for this and I was intrigued. Happy to see the rest of the article was just as interesting.
We see so many SCPs that leave the subjects hating themselves and the object due to the crippling effects they render, or are made to like the object due to some insanity, that it becomes quite run of the mill for an SCP to be something what makes people sad/mad. The fact that Jacob really likes having 796 around, enough to risk life and limb to escape a Foundation facility, is a breath of fresh air.
+1. This was a nice read.
+1 I quite like the writing and the anomaly. The only thing bugging me is that if the cat stole the doctor's security card and he reported it missing two days before it was used in the escape, how were the codes still valid in the system? As soon as he reported it they should have been flagged.
I'd say either change it to the escape happening shortly after their last session, or make it some other way to get out.
Noting that a recent edit by CoachRogge was reverted, as it violated the Site Rules regarding editing others' works.

At first this reminded me of that cat that live in people's heads (can't remember the mumber), bit it is different enough to gain an upvote.
+1
Malasinus brings up a good point that should be taken into consideration but otherwise wow this was a semi boring one but that interview absolutely made it for me and gave life to the writing that came before it. Upvoted
