Question about footnotes on phone screens

Is there an easy way to view inline footnotes while viewing an article on a phone?

I'm using Firefox on my android mobile, long tapping on a footnote link usually but not always brings up the floating footnote box. Problem is it can take 4, 5, 10, 30 attempts to make it work and it gets to be infuriating when an article has a lot of footnotes.
