Please forgive me if this thread is in the wrong subforum and feel free to move it to the appropriate place if need be. But over the last few hours, there has been a strange surge in new members posting these "My Memberpage" pages for self-introductory purposes instead of using the stickied posts in the Introductions forum. The only reason why I noticed this is because I spend a fair amount of time watching the New Pages list for new SCP articles that might require critique, and I've never seen such pages get posted before. They're also being downvoted quite rapidly.
Was some kind of policy concerning introductions/author pages changed today, or is this just a weird "monkey see, monkey do" situation where they're all copying one person who decided to skip reading the forums and create a self-introduction page?
