After a whirlwind writing and editing period, it is posted!

Seriously though, I enjoyed this. Obvious biases aside, Hot's dialogue got a couple grins and laughs out of me. Special shoutout to what is one of my favorite discoveries for a Little Mister that didn't just show up on the Foundation's doorstep.

Said it in the draft thread, sayin' it here: I like the subversion of expectations of both the reader and the researcher.

When I first looked at the title, I thought "Mr. Fanservice or Human Torch Expy". I was pleasantly surprised. Also, the character has a decent story behind it, when all too often you see a focus on "type of anomaly/object".

Laughed out loud, upvoted because yes, this is EXACTLY what I would do if a "Mister Hot" showed up.

Okay, this is EXTREMELY small change, but I noticed that when you're using quotes for emphasis, half the time it's "double quotes" and half the time it's 'single quotes,' with no real rule behind it. I don't know why that distracted me, but it did. Probably a good idea to pick one and standardize.

I was trying to have double quotes for reciting dialogue or written things, single quotes for the kind of things you'd put air quotes around in real life, like product names, or from someone who's skeptical that this 'Wondertainment' is actually a person. It does seem pretty muddled, though. I'll think about if there's a better way to do it.

I think the rule is that whatever you're using for dialogue is the same thing you use for "sarcasm" or "product names," so it should be double quotes throughout for American usage (and single quotes for the Brits).

Usually, I adore Little Misters, but Mister Hot is leaving me feeling cold.

He's got a good personality, and he serves a really important role in Wondertainment lore. But he's just not that interesting, as anomalies go. The whole "we're assuming he's fire" thing is a pretty lame joke. I'd rather read an article about the Carpal Critters, those sound wacky as hell. Novote.

This is a pretty good rendition of how the early misters felt, with the personality showing up in the interview logs. I like it a lot, I'm gonna show this one to Sal when I next chat with him.

So… What happened to the previous skip that used to be under this number? I was looking up what new pages have been created today and get the surprise of seeing Series I items (this and 527) among the newest pages.

What happens to all articles that dip below -9 and don't get picked up for a rewrite in time: they get deleted. Whether they're series I, II or III is irrelevant.

OK. I guess I wasn't expecting one of the oldest skips to dip to a negative rating after so many years; IINM it takes quite a while for all slots of a series (i.e. 1000 skips) to be eventually filled, so I am genuinely surprised it took that long for those two to get to this point.

Thanks for answering my question, and (in response to the reply on the other skip's thread) I apologize for posting this question here.

Are the censored parts in the containment protocol neccessary? What reason is there to blank those out when we really should know what's in that block at a single glance?

Every time I see a post like this, I say the same thing, so I'll say it here (as I have time to respond): Blackboxing location details (like the Site # and the internal location) are one of the few acceptable redactions in the Containment. If you're working with it, you know where it is; if you aren't working with it and have need to know, you can contact RAISA.

For some, they have no qualms over Site names being censored since those with access to SCP articles would likely be workers of that particular Site (and it can be a failsafe against spies finding out the locations of particular SCPs).

In this particular case, we should take note that it is a Little Mister SCP. Their trademark (as seen in their counterparts) is the blackboxed Site where they are kept. I suppose it is to maintain canon among the Little Mister SCPs.
