Seeking Greenlights: Yes
Page Type: SCP Article
Genre (Optional): Mystery
Page Layout (Optional): The story would be told though audio logs recorded by Taggart.
Elevator Pitch: The object is a spider-shaped plush capable of inducing a deep paranoia in anyone who approaches it, making them believe that the doll is pursuing them with hostile intentions.
Central Narrative: After Dr. Stevens is burned to death along with the rest of his lab in suspicious circumstances, his partner, Dr. German Taggart is assigned to continue the investigation of the SCP thought to have killed him. Due to the fire in Stevens' lab, much of his research on the SCP was lost, so Taggart and his team were forced to start their research almost from scratch. At the beginning of the investigations, the scientists discover that the SCP affects all forms of life, both humans and animals, such as insects. Later, they discover that its effects are not transmitted through water and that it needs air to affect its victim. At a key point, Taggart recalls that days before he died, when Dr. Stevens began to become extremely paranoid, he was constantly coughing, so Taggart began theorizing that the SCP induced paranoia via a gas. Taggart decides to introduce a D-Class equipped with a gas mask into the SCP containment room, thus confirming that the paranoia was transmitted by a gas coming from the SCP. Hook/Attention-Grabber (Optional): The main hook of the article would consist of the confusion that the audio recordings would produce in the reader, gradually hooking it to the story until it reached a "satisfying" ending.
Additional Notes: I know that this SCP needs a lot to improve, besides being the first one I've done, that's why I would like you to help me with everything you think I need help with, as well as pointing out any errors that I have.
