Thank you to JakdragonX for having me help him write this awful horrible little story. In a way, we all have an itch for reading and writing here. How big can that itch get?

Like I said in crit (MOTHERFUCKER)-

I like how this immediately reveals the ending but actually takes compelling strides to trick you into having some hope about halfway through. For a bit you are actually convinced that the protagonist is going to get better, that he can be saved, only for that rug to be torn out from under us. Combined with the commentary on the treatment of mental health issues, this is a solid article.

Still can't read that mutilation log though sorry.

God this makes me want to scream UGH! Left me in shivers and a nauseous stomach. I don’t get affected very easily by horror but damn this one got me. Damn you Jak, and damn you Pendragon this was brilliant

God motherfucking damn this article was a ride. I haven't read anything that's gotten me this immersed or unsettled in a really long time. The dramatic irony of knowing that what John has is anomalous while everyone else thinks he's just mentally ill is played really well, the dialogue and behavior are incredibly realistic, and the little twist at the end is pulled off great.
